How to Apply for a BPI Family Savings Account, Philippines

I recently applied for a savings account with BPI Family and I'm quite impressed with their service. It was a smooth process from start to end and it's a plus that the bank personnel were very accommodating. I opened mine at the BPI Family Gatuslao, Bacolod Branch.

To start off, make sure you brought with you the requirements. I'm sure you don't want to go through the hassle of going back and forth to the bank.

These are what you will need:

  • 2 valid IDs and photocopy of each
  • Billing statement (to verify your address)
  • 2 copies of your recent 1x1 photo

Once you have them ready, you're good to go. Just fill up their application form. You will be advised to come back a week after to get your card. You can choose from a variety of their savings account products from Jumpstart Savings (for 10-17 years), Express Teller, Maxi Saver to a Get Started Savings Account with Free Life Insurance. Maintaining balance may range from Php1,000 to Php50,000.
