"How to's of Life" was started in 2008 with the idea of sharing tips and how tos about life with the goal of earning a few bucks while doing so. Unfortunately, it was not as easy as I thought it would be. I wrote a total of 13 articles for year 2008 and that was it for me. I am done with blogging and forget about monetizing it either.

Writing does not come naturally for me. It is painstakingly difficult for me to come up with one article. It eats up hours of my time and I struggle with finding the right words. It can be fulfilling in the end but I did not have fun doing it. I knew then that writing was not for me.  

Three years after, I rediscovered the passion. I have read several books and dabbled in poetry. I would stay awake up to the wee hours of the night devouring the works of C.S. Lewis, Malcolm Gladwell, Bucky Fuller, Kathryn Stockett, Biography books, and poetry by Edgar Allan Poe. It was amazing how a work of writing can change one's life.

I have still a lot to learn but I know that I want to be a good writer. Maybe not as great as the authors I have read but I want to be able to share my opinions, my thoughts, my ideas, my convictions, my beliefs and my principles through my writing. It is the only way that I am uninhibited and I can be myself. And maybe, change a life or two along the way.

It was a rebirth for "How to's of Life."

I pretty much write about anything that comes to mind about life in general. I enjoy sharing news about the Philippines and Filipino achievers around the globe, movie and book reviews, inspiring stories of people and the young generation, my attempt to write poetry, and my unnecessary ramblings in between.

Writing is not as hard as it used to but it's not as easy still. Everyday is an opportunity to learn and improve. It still take hours for me to write but it has become fun and fulfilling. I know I am barely scratching the surface of the world of prose and poetry. But I know too that it is going to be one exciting adventure.
