Puerto Princesa Underground River Among the New 7 Wonders of Nature

The Philippines' Puerto Princesa Underground River was tagged as one of the provisional New 7 Wonders of Nature among 28 finalists. Some included in the list are the Amazon of South America, Halong Bay of Vietnam, Iguazu Falls in Brazil, the Jeju Island of South Korea, Komodo as one of the many islands of Indonesia, and Table Mountain in Africa. It is based on the first count of voting results last 11/11/11.

The winners will be announced starting early next year 2012.

This beautiful creation of nature features "a spectacular limestone or karst landscape that contains an 8.2 km long underground river." The peaceful and very inviting river which flows directly into the sea is a sight to behold. Tourists from the Philippines and around the globe are welcome to visit the navigable underground river.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show: Miranda Kerr With The $2.5 Million Bra

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2011 which was held at the Lexington Avenue Armory last November 09, 2011 had Miranda Kerr wearing a $2.5 million bra with features of approximately 3400 gems including 142 carats of diamonds. It's completely outrageous.

This is an insane display of the so called "fashion". No wonder that in this age, we are all hooked to consumerism and materialism. 

The models were practically naked some only wearing two pieces of tiny clothing. I love fashion, I truly do but I don't see the point of spending millions of dollars on a piece of lingerie. Whatever happens to that thing after the show, I wouldn't know and I don't want to know.  

I may sound self-righteous or self-serving but I feel that the money could have been used for a better cause. Even the billionaires of the world live a "frugal lifestyle". Ask Steve Jobs and Warren Buffet.

I appreciate excellent design, art and beauty but is this it? Does it have to be expensive?

While I was typing this post, I looked down on my computer clock and saw a string of ones! How often does that happen?

It's interesting and kinda special but that's about it for me. I don't believe in numerology or psychics or metaphysics. I see it as a set of numbers that occur once in a century.

But do you know that millions around the world who are numerologists, psychics, metaphysicists, occultists, theorists and their coven of followers believe that this day is special? I mean different special not normal special. Some believed in something supernatural happening on this day. Some thousands of people will gather for ceremonies, rituals and stuffs. Some gamblers are banking on the number 11. Others even scheduled weddings on this day which I deem more practical because the date is definitely memorable especially for the men who might easily forget anniversaries.

You may believe in superstitions or not. But at the end of the day, 11/11/11 11:11 are just numbers. It may or may not be special to you. Only you can tell. After all, time is something that transcends numbers. As Ralph Waldo Emerson wisely said,

"This time, like all times, is a very good one, if we but know what to do with it."

X Factor USA Results Top 11: Who went home? Stereo Hogzz vs Lakoda Rayne

After last night's strong performances for most of the top 11 and my favorite being that of the last performance, Rachel Crow singing "I'd Rather Go Blind" and Astro's very confident rap comes second, it is up to America who goes home. It's time to find out who goes from The X Factor USA Top 11.


But before that, it's Willow Smith and Jessie J as the first guest performers on X Factor USA stage.

Another week of heartbreak for Paula Abdul because it is a toss for the two remaining groups. The bottom two for this week are the second time around StereoHogzz and the first-timer Lakoda Rayne. Who went home between the StereoHogzz and Lakoda Rayne? 

The two acts sung for survival.
